I was 12 years old when I first listened to the album, "Led Zeppelin II," and was absolutely fascinated by the drumming of John Bonham. I knew at that time that I wanted to be a drummer. I went to my parents and begged them to let me take drum lessons. They replied, "Only if you get straight A's in school." Well, that was the best semester in school I ever had. My parents bought me my first drum set and I started taking lessons. The first thing I learned was to play the classical snare drum. All the while I was trying to teach myself how to play the set like John Bonham by listening to Led Zeppelin albums. I used to practice 2 hours everyday. It was 4 years of classical snare and 2 years of the drum set while I played in a variety of original and cover bands through high school. After high school I supported myself with odd jobs during the day while playing weddings and parties in the evenings.
I applied and was accepted to the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. After graduating, I received my certificate as a professional percussionist and went on to earn Associates of Arts degree in Music at Los Angeles City College. After finishing my schooling I began teaching. My students ranged from beginners to intermediate, and I taught the snare drum and drum set including the Djembe drum, which I added in the last few years. During this time I collaborated and recorded with a variety of different bands and songwriters while we played the circuit touring the clubs in LA.
I'm currently performing with different song writers and bands in and around the Los Angeles area.

The Players: Roxane McCosh, Vocals: Wes Flores 6-string guitar, Tony Galasso,12-string acoustic guitar, Eric Gold, Djembe Drum.
Musicianship: McCosh may front the act and express her soulful lyricisms with a sassy smile, but the key to her sound comes as much from the dual accoustic guitars surrounding her as it does from her voice. Galasso furiously finger picks his 12-string, while Flores complements her with some dexterous playing.Anchoring the ensemble is the subtle percussion of the djembe that Gold provides, adding depth to the music without overwhelming the more subdued vocals.
